Doodle Pantry September card challenge

I love these precolored images and papers.  And so cute for kids cards too.
I fell in love with this dolphin as soon as I saw him!
I cut out a second dolphin and popped him over the first so it has a nice dimension like he is jumping out of the water.
Maybe needs some bling? But I don't like to overdo it.

Operation Write Home - Our Daily Bread Designs Sept. Challenge

This card is for the Operation Write Home - Our Daily Bread Designs Sept. Challenge.  Its is "things with wheels". The paper and stamps are from Stamping Up.  I was coloring with wax crayons - they are hard to control but give intense colors.  I need some more practice with these...

OWH Challenge 10

The 10th Sketch Challenge as part of the Operation Write Home Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party! was to use the window or negative of  a punch or die.  I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch with SU paper and ribbon.

OWH challenge 9

The 9th Sketch Challenge as part of the Operation Write Home Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party was to use a bee!
I did not think I had any bee stamps, but surprise, surprise, I did.  And the yellow is so cheery.

I am not sure who makes this stamp for the bee and the sentiment.  I think its is from dollar scrapbooking table at a show!  The flower punch is the new pansy from SU and the leaves are from the bird SU stamp. Ribbon from SU last year.

OWH challenge 8 - Fall

The 8th Sketch Challenge as part of the Operation Write Home Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party was to make a Fall card but not Thanksgiving.  Fall is much more easily used by our service members.
Punch for Leaf and square from EK Success with distress ink added. Border from SU.  The orange border and banner are actually washi tape. Fall paper from old pad of DCWV. Sentiment from SU.

OWH Challenge 7

The 7th Sketch Challenge that was part of the Operation Write Home Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party was to make a kids card using a tic tac toe grid of elements.  I used something with 4 legs, a punny sentiment and stamping/coloring.  The shell on the little turtle is popped.  Again, some really old paper.  The stamps in from a brand new set.

I did not have any masking tape to try the 5th challenge but I'm and going to go back to that one later.

The 6th challenge in the Operation Write Home Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party was to use sketch 188.  It has 3 banners.  Again the paper came from a really old pad I have from DCWV. I love the colors.  It does not show as nice in this photo as it dies in real life.  How simple is this card!

The 4th challenge in the Operation Write Home Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party was to use a sketch to make a Love card.  This is a really easy sketch to use. I added some layers and punched the borders.  The border punch is from Martha Stewart and the stamps are from SU.  The paper is from a very old pad in my stash from DCWV.  The ink is Tim Holtz Distress ink in Victorian velvet.

The 3rd challenge in the Operation Write Home Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party was to use the Triple Die Cutting Technique.  I don't have these dies so I hand cut mine.  The paper is really old from my stash. I added some ink and glossy accents to the butterfly to give it more dimension.

The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart.
The 2nd challenge in the Operation Write Home Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party was to make a card that had elements representing O W H.  I used an Oval, off-White paper and a Hello sentiment.  The embossing folder and punches and sentiment are from SU. Ribbon was from $1 bin at Michaels.

1st OWH Labor Day VCMP challenge - inchies

This past weekend was the OWH Labor Day Weekend Virtual Card Making Party http://operationwritehome.org/starsandstamps/ .  There were 10 challenges for making cards.  But the weather here in MD was so nice this weekend that I could not stay inside and work! So I finally settled down to craft on Monday eve.  I got through 9 of the 10 (sort of...)

My first card was to follow a sketch with border of inchies and make a winter or Christmas card.  http://brujahrose.blogspot.com/2013/08/labor-day-weekend-vcmp.html
But I did not read carefully enough and made a Fall card! I will have to go back and make a winter one next.  I did have fun trying out my new Mosaic punch from SU and using the burlap ribbon as a background.
